Me, still alive and blogging!
Sometimes when I don't write on this blog for a few days in a row it is often because I am having a bit of a low period and I don't want to just be writing long, boring, moan-filled posts which are more likely to depress then interest. This however hasn't been my reason for the recent little break, I just simply don't have enough hours in the day to get everything done! Seriously! It's crazy.
As I mentioned on Facebook the other day, I have a 3 page 'To Do list' that I am trying to work my way through (a friend recommended taking the list outside and letting the wind blow two pages away!) and although I am slowly drawing thick lines through some of the 'To do's', I still have a long way to go!
On the plus side, I am having a good time. My evening's are spent making new pieces in time for the vintage market that I will be selling at in Berlin called 'Toast & Jam' (19th-21st Jan), the mornings are spent photographing the new pieces and then the early afternoons are taken up with editing the photo's and putting as many of the new items on line in my shops as possible. I am living and breathing jewellery at the moment and to be honest it's heaven. Sales are still going incredibly strong despite my nervousness of a big dip post-Christmas which has so far not come, Dawanda (one of the websites through which I have a shop) are highlighting more and more of my items including displaying a pair of my earrings in their recent German newsletter (see pic below) and I am getting some lovely reviews from customers and many are returning to buy more pieces.
On top of all that, I read today about an old school friend's husband who has recently had his children's book 'The Fearsome Beastie' published (I will be reviewing a copy on here soon so watch out for that) and it is really uplifting to hear about someone managing to find a publisher as I am working on a couple of children's books this year and I am really hoping to make something of them rather then it being just me reading them to Milo (although I will enjoy that too of course!)
I will do my best to find time for this blog though and to not forget to write regularly! I love this blog, I especially enjoy reading your comments (a BIG thank you to everyone who commented on my post about the horrible woman who implied I was a bad mother for disciplining my son, I am going to reply to all of those tomorrow)
Please stick with me, I promise it's worth it ha ha
I love to read your comments so please feel free to let me know what you think...
