Happy Halloween!

This year was the first time I made a bit of an effort with Halloween, thinking that Milo's now at an age at which he could start to enjoy such festivities and could get involved a bit. We didn't do a great deal, I thought we'd start it slow and build up a bit next year but we did make some Halloween themed cupcakes (which looked better then they tasted although Milo was a fan) and we bought two small pumpkins (we unfortunately couldn't find any of any good size!) and each etched a face in, 'The Englander' choosing to go with a moustache 'Mo' themed pumpkin and myself, the more traditional scary face.

Check out what we got up to...

  1. The idea of bubble gum cupcakes makes me want to spew Knusperperlen all over the kitchen, but the rest of it looks delightful.

    Excellent pumpkin work!

  2. hmmm...not sure about the bubblegum flavour myself, but I suppose a welcome change from all the pumpkin-based dishes we seem to be eating this time of year! (Though some have been marvellous)

  3. Licking the bowl is always the best part of cake baking :)

  4. The bubble gum flavour wouldn't have been my first choice I must say but that was the only option available and we were being lazy and not making every part from scratch! and yes, Morgenmuffel, licking the bowl is absolutely the best part of cake baking! I am always up for that part!!!
