Milo, toddler at work
Yesterday as I picked Milo up from nursery it was clear that he was feeling under the weather. He'd had a low fever on and off all day and had been fighting with and hitting his fellow nursery comrades and gave me a good screaming fit as I tried to dress him for the journey home. For that reason both Milo and I had ''the day off'' today. It's been a while since Milo and I have spent a long period of time, just the two of us and whilst I must admit that I was a little nervous (he often has little patience for me!), it's actually been a lovely day. We snuggled and played in bed this morning, he watched a little 'Roary'' whilst I cleaned up from breakfast and this afternoon we built an Ikea kitchen cabinet together. Well, I say together! Basically, I fetched a couple of his tools from his children's workbench and he hammered away with his plastic hammer whilst I used the real thing. It really kept his attention and he looked pleased as pie with his work! Super sweet! I love all these moments with him. He is more and more interested in performing day-to-day tasks alongside us and that's great. I look forward to more of this in the future before he becomes a teenager and doesn't want to do anything!!!
I love to read your comments so please feel free to let me know what you think...
Excellent work Milo ;-)
